Zambart is one of the collaborators on the Programme for Evidence on Disability Action (PENDA). Among other disability projects, the PENDA Consortium is supporting full-time studentships for people with disabilities from Low Middle-Income countries.
The studentships are a partnership between the lead institution – the London School for Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and University of Nairobi, Makerere University and Zambart in collaboration with the University of Zambia. Currently, One PhD candidate is based at each University with additional support and supervision from the International Centre for Evidence in Disability at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. Funded by the UK’s Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), the PENDA studentship aims to build knowledge and experience in disability inclusive research over the course of three years
