



Recently, a team from #Zambart conducted a vital site visit to Kanyama First Level Hospital to assess critical challenges affecting in-patient care.
The primary focus was on the strain caused by pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB) and post tuberculosis lung disease (PTLD). The team toured the medical in-patent department to gain a first -hand view on bed space and the pressing need for oxygen cylinders and concentrators.
The team held productive discussions outlining immediate, intermediate, and long-term strategies to address the problems of PTB and PTLD.
The Kanyama team was led by Dr. Beene Wanga, Head- Clinical Care and Dr Singoyi Head of Department- Internal Medicine.
Zambart looks forward to collaborating with stakeholders to implement these interventions and strengthen the healthcare system.
