Our staff members Dr. Mwelwa Phiri and Sophie Inambwae of the STI Prevalence Study in Zambia (Chongetsa) attended the STI & HIV 2025 World Congress in Montreal, Canada! The congress, was themed “Sexual Health for All,” took place from July 26-30, 2025, at the Palais des Congrès de Montréal.

Dr. Phiri’s oral presentation focused on the Prevalence of Four Sexually Transmitted Infections Among Adolescents and Young People Aged 15 to 24 in Lusaka, Zambia.

The conference was organized by the International Society for Sexually Transmitted Diseases Research (ISSTDR) and the International Union against Sexually Transmitted Infections (IUSTI) brought together global experts to share groundbreaking research and best practices in STI and HIV prevention and treatment.
