Zambart in conjunction with Imperial College London and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine are hosting a 10 -day hands-on workshop at Zambart in Lusaka, Zambia to provide attendees with an understanding of epidemiological outbreak analysis, and  tools for approaching epidemiological research questions of their own. The workshop is aimed at anyone who has a need to understand epidemiological research to either analyse the performance of epidemic disease control programmes (e.g. COVID-19, HIV, non-communicable diseases), interpret scientific findings from epidemiological studies, question expert epidemiologists in the robustness and public health implications of their research and learn key biological concepts and how they translate into infectious disease dynamics, and build long term collaboration among the participating institutions. Attending are early-career researchers, policymakers, public health, and disease control professionals, such as programme managers and statisticians.

This initiative is funded by MRC.
